Chandidas Bhattacharya obtained his Diploma in Graphic Art in 1973 with First Class from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, India. He was awarded the Certificate of merit in Watercolor painting in the years 1969 to 1972. He held his first solo exhibition at Bath Avon, UK in 1981.
